Why is the grass...

 Always greener on the other side?? 

I irritate myself!  When I was working, I wanted to go back to college...when I was in college I just wanted to be a SAHM, when I was only (HA! ONLY!!!) a SAHM I wanted to be working and now that I am working, I dont want to!! 

Ok Its not that I dont want to work...I actually love it. I love having authority to do things my way, I love smelling like Vanilla Bean Noel, or Twilight Woods or whatever I want, I love getting out of the house for a few and having some me time...ok so its not really "me" time, but its time not spent folding socks and doing laundry and breaking up fights and cleaning up messes, and I need just a little of that here and there! So wheres the problem you ask? Its finding the balance!!! It seems like I am barely working and contributing nothing but the gas money needed to get me there, or I am working so much that I miss bed time 5 nights a week. It sucks! I want to have my cake and I want to eat it too! Whats the point of having cake if you cant eat the dang thing?

Hola!!

Lets try this again! I will admit I am the worst at blogging! I really want to do better at it though (on my list of many things!) So we are taking another shot at it!!

So for my first post on a brand new blog I figure I will just update everyone (What? yes I am referring to all 2 of my followers! lol) on whats happening in the Hernandez Household!!
Its been crazy busy here and I cannot believe nor except that summer is over and fall is fast approaching!! Big updates on each member of our little family =) 

I recently got promoted at Bath and Body!! I am now one of the assistant managers at our downtown store! I love it for so many reasons: The first is obviously the increase in pay! The fact that I am part of the management team instead of just an associate, better hours,  I have keys =) and downtown is so stinking beautiful, especially at night, and especially at Christmas!! Plus limited brands is such a great company to work for, they definitely appreciate each and everyone of its employees and treats us so awesome!! My plan is to work there for a couple years to gain more experience and time with the company and once Nick is all done with school we will have more options if we so choose to relocate! I would love to work for Limited Brands Marketing department one day! And after talking to my DM I know that it is a possibility!!! Also another great thing about my job is that it allows me to still NOT have to put Mili in day care or hire a babysitter etc...Me and Nick still do the ole switch off routine for the most part and if there is every a day where our schedules over lap, My mom or my sister pick up the slack!

Nicholas just started back to school yesterday after having the summer off...he has two more quarters (this one and winter) then he will be done with his program (auto refinishing and collision repair). I cannot even begin to explain how proud I am of him! He has gotten all A's since he started school, kinda helps that he LOVES working on cars! School is more like a hobby for him! I always refer to it as him getting to play cars!! (boys and their toys! They don't change much!) But he does amazing work, he can fix body damage and paint it so that it looks even better than before and has done some little side jobs on family and friends cars!! Plus its pretty awesome to never have to take our car to the shop! What he doesnt  know how to do, he teaches himself! Its amazing! Once he is all done with this program he is thinking about taking another program offered at SCC, its Auto Tech I think? (I tend to glaze over when he talks to me about it!) its another 6 quarter program just like the one he is in now, and once he is done with that he would be better qualified to open his own shop (which is our long term goal!)

Aidrik's been just as busy!! He turned 6, started the first grade and lost his first tooth all in the same week!!! In fact he lost his FIRST tooth on the FIRST day of FIRST grade! I am so proud of how smart he is and how well he is excelling at school! He reads books and words that are so advance for his age! And is learning math at lightening speed! He is so social and outgoing and fits right in! Makes this mama a little less apprehensive when I watch him walk through those doors in the morning!!!

Amilio is furious with me! EVERYDAY he asks if I found him a preschool yet =( He is only 2 and half but thinks he is 5. No really, if you ask him how old he is he says 5! Its hilarious! He is so smart, fully potty trained (as of 2 years and 4 months) and wants so badly to go to school! BUT I am not ready to have both my boys in school yet, plus he isnt old enough for actual preschools...So we are trying to do little school activities throughout the day, and have playdates with our friends when possible so that he doesnt get too bored with me! We are also fortunate to live so close to Aidriks school that we can walk over there and have lunch and recess with him! They both love that! Aidrik loves to show Mili off to all his friends and mili loves to be the center of attention!! 

In between all our crazy busy schedules we packed lots of extras into our summer/early fall...including our annual "Schools out Luau", my best friends wedding in Bellingham, me and Aidrik were both in it. My 10 year high school reunion (YES I AM GETTING OLD!) which wasnt as fun as I had hoped but I had a great friend are her adorable kiddos stay with us for a few days which was a blast!!!!! A camping trip, A few birthday parties (Aidriks included) a trek up to Greenbluff, and countless trips to the park! 

Geeze I am exhausted just reliving all of this! I will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how and buy some new batteries for my camera! Thanks for reading our blog and hope you all are doing fantastic!!!!!!!
